Lemon Rice

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups cooked rice
1 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp urad dal
1 tsp chana dal
curry leaves
1/2 tsp grated ginger
2 sliced dry kashmiri red chillies
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp oil
salt to taste

Method

1. Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds.
2. When the seeds splutter, add the urad dal, chana dal and curry leaves and saute on medium flame.
3. After a minute, add the ginger, red chillies and saute for 30 seconds.
4. Add the cooked rice and turmeric powder and cook for 2 minutes.
5. Now add the lemon juice and salt and mix well.
6. Cook on medium flame for 1-2 minutes and serve hot.
